Tirana International Airport (TIA), in partnership with Wizz Air, continues to expand its route network with the launch of two new destinations connecting Albania with the Mediterranean region and offering passengers attractive new options for summer leisure travel.
On 23 June, the inaugural flight between Tirana and Palma de Mallorca was celebrated, followed on 24 June by the launch of the new route to Alghero, offering passengers more travel opportunities and further strengthening air connectivity between Albania, Spain, and Italy.
The Tirana–Palma de Mallorca route will operate twice weekly, every Tuesday and Saturday, while the Tirana–Alghero route will operate every Wednesday and Sunday.
These new destinations further enhance TIA’s growing network and reinforce Wizz Air’s important role in the Albanian market, providing additional options for leisure, family, and business travel.

With the addition of these two new routes, TIA and Wizz Air continue to support tourism growth, passenger mobility, and the expansion of Albania’s international connectivity.
The addition of Palma de Mallorca and Alghero marks another important step in Wizz Air’s expansion in Albania. Wizz Air now offers 65 destinations from Tirana, with 11 new routes launched in 2026 alone.
Beyond enhancing international connectivity, the new routes provide passengers with direct access to two of the Mediterranean’s leading summer leisure destinations, creating additional opportunities for tourism and holiday travel.
